What to expect after scheduling a procedure

Dear Patient,

Your physician has scheduled you for a procedure at Lone Star Endoscopy. We have three different locations -Keller, Flower Mound, and Southlake – but the same processes at each one. Please continue reading to get an overview of what to expect!

You must bring your driver’s license and insurance card to every visit.

You must have a responsible adult to drive you home after your procedure with us.

Two weeks prior to your scheduled procedure with us, you will receive a text message asking you to opt in to text messages. This allows Lone Star to continue to provide your resources and reminders to ensure your procedure happens as smoothly as possible.

The text message will reference an online health history questionnaire called Simple Admit. Since we are a separate facility from your physician’s office, Lone Star will need you to fill out your history to ensure we have all the information to safely care for you during your time with us. If you would prefer a phone call instead, just check the box requesting a call! If we have not received your information three days prior to your procedure, we will reach out by phone.

About a week before your procedure, you will receive a call from one of our insurance verifiers in order to review your estimate for services. If you have insurance questions, please call (817) 402-7700.

If you are having a colonoscopy, you should have received instructions for the prep from your physician’s office (often through email). Please reach out to your physician if you do not have your instructions. There will be certain dietary restrictions that start a week prior to your procedure and allow your prep to work most effectively; please review these instructions a week before your scheduled colonoscopy.

Lone Star Endoscopy is open Monday-Friday 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Please see our homepage at www.lonestartx.com for location details, phone numbers, and physician information. We appreciate the opportunity to partner with your physician to provide you with excellent care.
