Dr. Nishita Kara attended Drexel University for her undergraduate studies and received her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Thereafter, she returned to Drexel University College of Medicine to complete her internship, residency, and fellowship training. Dr. Kara is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. She is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Neurogastroenterology, and Motility Society, and the American Medical Association. Her special areas of interest include gastrointestinal motility disorders, specifically esophageal and anorectal disorders.

Gastrointestinal disorders have always fascinated Dr. Kara. She enjoys getting to know her patients and creating a comprehensive yet focused treatment plan for them.

In her free time. Dr. Kara enjoys traveling, cooking, strength training and most of all spending time with her husband and son.
