Dr. Jeffrey Krieger was born in Los Angeles, California and spent his childhood and teenage years growing up in Palos Verdes, California. He attended University of California Los Angeles and then received his medical degree from Rosalind Franklin University/The Chicago Medical School. He then returned to California to attend University of Southern California for his internship, residency and fellowship over the next six years. He received the honor of being the resident of the year at University of Southern California and also received Alpha Omega Alpha honor society membership while at USC. Last year he was rated a top doctor in Denton County, Texas by his peers in D magazine.

 

Dr. Krieger initially entered private practice after completing his fellowship at St. John’s hospital in Santa Monica, California and was also an Asst. Professor of Medicine at University of Southern California prior to having gravitational pull from his wife who is a native Texan and moving to Texas in 2010.

 

Dr. Krieger is board certified in gastroenterology. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterology Association, Texas Society of Gastroenterology, Texas Medical Association, and Denton County Medical Association. His areas of special interest include colorectal cancer screening, esophageal reflux disease, advanced endoscopic procedures such as Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, single balloon enteroscopy, esophageal manometry, M2A capsule, obera weight loss balloon placement, CRH hemorrhoidal band placement, and liver disease. Dr. Krieger’s outside interests include being a huge fan of USC football, grilling barbeque on his kamado grill, and spending as much time as possible with his wife and three children.
