Dr. David Levitan, originally from Cleveland, Ohio, has been in the Dallas-Fort Worth area since 2000. Dr. Levitan received his medical degree from the Ohio State University College of Medicine, completed an internal medicine residency at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, and received his gastroenterology training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
Currently, he serves as Chief of Medicine at Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine. Dr. Levitan also has a position as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center where he works with fellows training in gastroenterology.
Dr. Levitan is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterology Association, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
His areas of special interest include liver disease, colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease. Outside the office, Dr. Levitan enjoys golfing, scuba diving with his wife, and spending time with his twin boys and two dogs.
