COVID-19 Update
Lone Star Endoscopy is observing the CDC’s recommended preventive actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory diseases, including COVID-19. Our number one priority is the safety of our patients and staff. We have implemented the following measures to ensure safety:
- Before your procedure, we ask that you self-monitor for Covid-19 like symptoms. If you notice fever or develop any symptoms, please call us immediately. We will need to reschedule your appointment.
- Masking is currently optional in our facility, although changes in guidance can occur rapidly. You are welcome to wear a mask, and if you prefer your care team to also wear a mask, please let our registration team know. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible during your visit with us.
- We continue to limit visitors in the building to ensure the safety of all of our patients. Visitors will be allowed to wait in the lobby but only 1 visitor can join you in recovery while you wake up and speak to the physician if you chose.
- We continue to disinfect high touch areas and adhere to all equipment and environmental infection control guidelines.
We are asking patients to join us in additional efforts, including:
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before and after eating and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash and sanitize your hands
- Avoid shaking hands to potentially prevent transmission
