Dr. James Weber graduated from Lewisville High School, received a degree in biomedical science from Texas A&M University in 1983, obtained his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 1987, performed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Parkland Memorial Hospital, and then completed his gastroenterology fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center in 1992. He is board certified in Gastroenterology and specializes in the care of patients with inflammatory bowel disease.

 

Dr. Weber began his practice in gastroenterology in 1992 at Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine where he has served as president of the medical staff, chief of gastroenterology, and on the board of trustees. He is currently the president and managing partner of Texas Digestive Disease Consultants which is now the largest gastroenterology practice in the country. He is in demand as a speaker on quality care and practice management issues nationally.

 

Jim lives in Grapevine with his wife Lori. Their oldest son Nick and his wife Tenli have blessed the family with two beautiful granddaughters. Their son Erik practices law in Austin. Their daughter Kate works as an architect designer in Fort Worth.  He enjoys spending time with his family, working with his cattle, hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities.
